Before I was an aspiring mobile app developer, I was an aspiring musician and have written and recorded many songs (renatomusic.com / xttmusic.com) and back in 2010 I discovered I can make my songs playable on guitar hero type games namely Rock Band (Rock Band Network aka RBN) for gaming consoles and Frets on Fire for PC’s. After this discovery I went ahead and made a bunch of my songs playable for these two game platforms and this also sort of got me started down the mobile app development road, so this page will feature all I have to offer as far as the playable songs I have available that I authored and much of it is FREE.

Welcome to the XTT Frets on Fire Download and Links Page!

I been playing Guitar Hero and Rock band these days and I stumbled upon Frets on Fire which is a free download for PC, Mac and Linux.

What is Frets on Fire?: Frets on Fire is a FREE open source video game that imitates the commercial games Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It is playable on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and works easily with Guitar Hero or Rock Band Guitar Controllers (wired and wireless).

I also discovered that you can add your own custom songs and I was motivated to add my own music, and after a couple of days of learning and plenty of trial and error. I spent countless hours with what is called “Fretting” my songs which eventually led to me authoring songs for the Rock Band Network.

You can download Frets on Fire for free and there is another more stable version called FoFix (Frets on Fire X) that you can download for free

The Frets on Fire message board and the Frets on Fire WIKI has plenty of help including setting up Guitar controllers, song downloads, themes, tutorials (Including Video Tutorials), modifications and troubleshooting (you have to join for that stuff).

*I added a tutorial on how to add the songs to Frets on Fire for a Mac down towards the bottom of this page.
